So it was brought to my attention that I am a little behind my time. My twelve year old was trying to explain to me that all their kid’s parents in their new school was doing this thing called blogging. When I asked my little girl what blogging was (as I thought it was a made up word) she told me about a fantastic place where I could share my thoughts and ideas (only not it quite those terms). I then started to do a little research but ever time I entered something to do with blogging on my search engine I got bombarded with ads and sites about how I could sign up with this company or that company and make money being a professional blogger. They go on to tell me to sign up or log on to this or that website start writing and bring home the money. Then it seems that I actually have to pay the website a subscription fee every month or yearly if I choose. Ok sounds great spend a little money and make more money by advertising businesses on a website got it. Well I kind of get the whole scenario and have a little spare time so couldn’t hurt to try I guess, only one problem…. I still am not sure what blogging is! It maybe because I am really am dummy or the fact that I am easily persuaded by the $$$ but I am still clueless as to what exactly blogging is. I signed up for wordpress.com and got a free subscription and thought I would at least attempt to learn what it is and how to do it before I dare spend money on something that promises to make money in the end. I am not a facebook or myspace users and I just now signed up for an email address so I could create this account and try to get to the bottom of this. I know that there are probably a lot of successful bloggers out there and was hopeful that someone somewhere could shine a little light on this subject. After I post this, I would also like to know who exactly sees it since, I don’t have a fan base and from the title I am dummy. please if you could leave a positive comment with some help, where you came across this post, and direction I could take that would be wonderful.
